Attorney Review
Attorney review
is a clause in a contract that states that either party may terminate the agreement
without cause for a set period, usually 3-7 days. The intent is to allow the
parties to seek legal review of the document.
Attorney review is mandatory in many states, even if it is not expressly stated
in a contract. Nevertheless, it is entirely up to the buyer and seller if the
real estate contract should have this feature and your REALTOR® will guide
you in this matter.
